Dr Ken's Science Circus
The Wrens had a session in the hall today with our visitor for Science Week, Dr Ken!
5, 4, 3, 2, 1...LAUNCH!!!
We noticed that some of the balloons nearly always travelled the furthest.
We talked about our ideas with Dr Ken.
Can you remember which of these balloons travelled further than any of the others? Why is that?
We explored ideas about pushes, pulls and how energy is stored when the end of a balloon is pulled tight.
Here are some action shots of us learning how make our balloons travel up in the air:
We all lined up ready for take off. Dr Ken asked us to get in a straight line so that our test was fair.

The Wrens get creative
Last week the Wrens created their own 'shoe box animal worlds':
We had to decide where our animal lived...
Watch out for the dangling spiders!
Here we are with our finished 'worlds':
