¡Hola!

Today was European day of languages. We spent the day learning about Spain.

We looked at the Spanish flag...

...and learnt how to count in Spanish.

Tapas anyone?

Queso Manchego (Spanish cheese made from sheep's milk) and spicy Chorizo...

...green and black olives too.

Everyone tried something new.

We didn't all like everything that we tried though!

The Spanish Chorizo was very popular!

The Tapas on these plates is definitely not for eating!

What a fun day it was!

Adios!

Tell Me A Dragon...

We read another dragon story in Wrens this week. The story is called 'Tell Me A Dragon' by Jackie Morris.

The story inspired us to create some amazing dragon pictures. Take a look!

All our pictures are on display in our classroom, please come and look at them!

Off to the land of dragons!

Today we read a story called The Dragon Machine. In the story George had to take all the troublesome dragons back to the land where they came from.

We decided we would help George so we made some maps showing him where to go:

Some of the tore the corners of the paper to help make our maps look old, like in the story.

We added labels onto our maps to help George
see what to look out for on his way.

We scrunched them up too!

We 'painted' them with strong coffee to
make the paper look even older.

Take a look at our finished work:

We hope that George finds our maps useful!
