It's raining, it's pouring!

We have linked our learning in Literacy to the work we are doing in Geography by using our senses to describe what the weather looks, sounds and feels like.

When we came into school on Friday we were all very wet!  We saw this as an opportunity to write some rainy day poetry.

Some of us wrote phrases that we could turn into poems whilst others decided they wanted to get straight on with the poetry writing itself!

Listen to some the lovely descriptions of the rain that we wrote.

Some of us included some rhymes - can you hear them?

We will post some more of our fantastic poetry very soon!

Oh the weather outside is...

The Wrens have been learning about the weather. On Thursday we thought about how we dress for different weathers.  We had great fun wearing lots of different clothes!

We thought about the best way we could become weather experts and decided to form our own weather company.  Everyone had lots of great ideas about what our company should be called and the logo that would best represent our work.

Can you spot your fantastic design below?

We decided to let Mr Seeman pick the winning design and here it is:

Well done Louis! Watch out for updates on your weather news
coming soon from Wrens' Weather Services!

Old Toys

Mrs Roper came in to talk to us about the toys that she had played with when she was a little girl.

"You pressed the frog's tummy and it cracked. I liked the sound of it." Holly

"I liked all of the toys. My favourite was the gun. My second favourite was the starry sparkler because the way it went round was very cool." Archie.

"There was a doll, it is very old. It had a hat, green hands, blue shoes and wore a white dress." Harriet.

"I really like the the chicken because when you pushed it down its legs go down and she lays an egg. " Charlie.
