Parents' Carousel 2015

Today was Parents' Carousel in Wrens - a chance for our families to share
some of the things that we do in school!

We showed off our iPad skills...

...took part in lots of different activities in our classroom...

...and carried out some very important 'muck moving' in the garden with Mrs Goymour!

What did the paint feel like on your feet?

What did the pots smell of?

What apps did you choose to share?

What sounds did you hear?

What might it be like in Thailand?

We also shared lots of fun songs together!

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us today!

Please leave the Wrens a comment - we would love to know what you think about our blog!

Staying Safe on the Internet

We have been learning how to keep ourselves safe on the internet as part of 'Safer Internet Day' which took place across the country on Tuesday 10th February.

The children used the 'Comic Book' app on the iPads to show what they had learnt.

What messages do the Wrens have for you?

For more information and support on internet safety, please click on the link below. There is lots of information for parents and also some fun activities for the children to explore!

Florence Nightingale

Our fabulous writing about Florence Nightingale is now on display in our classroom:

Next time you are passing, pop in and have a look!

Exploring 3d shapes

The Wrens have had a busy morning sorting, studying and creating lots and lots of 3d shapes!

Take a look at all their hard work:

Working out what each shape was by the clues we were given took lots of concentration!

What different ways would you sort these shapes?

How many vertices does this shape have?

Take a look at the shapes we created!

Why not tell someone at home all the things you now know about 3d shapes.  Don't forget to use the words faces, edges and vertices!
