Exploring 3d shapes

The Wrens have had a busy morning sorting, studying and creating lots and lots of 3d shapes!

Take a look at all their hard work:

Working out what each shape was by the clues we were given took lots of concentration!

What different ways would you sort these shapes?

How many vertices does this shape have?

Take a look at the shapes we created!

Why not tell someone at home all the things you now know about 3d shapes.  Don't forget to use the words faces, edges and vertices!

History Detectives

Can the Wrens work out who the famous person is that they are going to be learning about?

Here they are working hard to uncover what each clue is telling them:

What is happening in this room?

What is the old map showing us?

What does the writing mean?

What is the old lantern for?

Slowly piecing together the evidence!

Finding out what the person looks like:

Almost there!

Did you work out who it was?

What can you find out about Florence Nightingale? Where will you look for information?
