What are the Robins favourite toys?

Last week we visited the Robins to ask for their help. We wanted to find out:

What are the Robins favourite toys?

We used a checklist to help us remember who we had asked.
The Robins were really helpful at showing us where their names were on the list!

Back in our own class, we shared our results with our friends:

What toy was the most popular?

Which was the least?

If you made another pictogram, what questions would you ask?

Toy poems

This week we have been using our toys from home to help us with our learning.

Today we used them to help us with poetry writing.

Here we are making a collection of words we thought of to describe our toys:

We shared some ideas about the toy snake we have in class...

...and used them to create this poem:

What else could you write a poem about? Will your poem have rhyming words in?

Toys

Our new class topic is Toys.

Owen created this water dragon toy at home from an empty plaster box!

What could you make a toy from? What kind of toy would you like to make?

How long is a minute?

The Wrens timed each other today using the iPads. Each activity only lasted one minute.

Take a look at what they did in their 60 second activities!

Some of us were moving very quickly!!! A minute goes by quite fast...

What could you achieve in one minute? Why not have a try at home!
