Story Boxes

As part of our work on World Book Day,
we made story boxes with the children in Skylarks:

First we created a
story setting inside our boxes.

Then added some characters.

We created stories and showed these to our friends.

The stories we told were fantastic and used lots of imagination.  Mrs Squirrell was very impressed!

World Book Day

We dressed up as our favourite book characters:

It was lots of fun!

Wrens' Carousel

What a fun morning we all had sharing our learning
with our parents and little brothers and sisters:

We had to find lots of different animals on the trail in the garden.

Everyone was very impressed with our gymnastic skills!

It was great to have lots of extra pairs of hands to help sew our owls together.

We shared some of the challenges we do in maths...

read the books we have written...

looked at the eggs we are hatching in the incubator...

helped our brothers and sisters to paint...

and finished off our time together with a sing-along - Mrs Taylor style!

A very big thank you for coming to our Carousel morning!

Learning's great when we collaborate!

We really enjoyed working with children from Skylarks.

There were a number of different activities
that we did together...

Making our rain gauges was much easier
with two pairs of hands!

We shared stories and designed new front covers for the books we enjoyed most:

Mr Williams taught us how to use Storybird on the laptops...
we loved it!

We are looking forward to working with our learning partners in Skylarks again very soon.

Thank you Skylarks!
